Privacy Policy

How Ambient Pocket handles your data — or rather, how it doesn't.

1. Plain-English Summary

Ambient Pocket does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app runs entirely on your device. We have no servers. We have no analytics. We have no advertising. We have no accounts. There are no purchases or payments of any kind — the app is 100% free.

2. What We Collect

Personal information collected by Ambient Pocket: None.

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
• Your location (GPS, IP address, or otherwise)
• Any health, fitness, or biometric data
• Device identifiers (IDFA, AAID, device name, etc.)
• Analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics
• Audio recordings — the app has no microphone access; microphone permission is explicitly disabled
• Photos, contacts, calendar, or any other on-device data

3. Third-Party Services

Ambient Pocket is a fully free, offline app. It does not use any external services that receive personal data from us.

No analytics, no ads, no trackers

We do not use Firebase, Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, AppsFlyer, Adjust, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Sentry, Crashlytics, or any comparable tracking or analytics service. We do not use any ad network.

4. Data Stored on Your Device

Ambient Pocket stores the following information locally on your device using your platform's standard app-preferences storage:

• Your saved mixes (names and which sounds are in each, with their volume levels)
• Your custom-created tones from the Tone Studio
• Your last-used settings (master volume, preferred Auto Tuner mode, etc.)

This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to our servers, because we don't have any. It is automatically included in your platform's standard device-backup mechanism (iCloud Backup on iOS, Google Backup on Android) if you have that enabled — but those backups are handled by Apple and Google, not by us.

If you delete the app, all local data is removed with it. Your saved mixes and custom tones will be empty unless you had a device backup.

5. Children's Privacy

Ambient Pocket is rated for users ages 4 and up on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play. It is safe for children in the sense that it contains no inappropriate content, no advertising, no social features, and no internet connectivity.

Because we do not collect any personal information from any user, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and would like more information, please contact us at dkr4software@gmail.com.

6. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data of yours in our possession to access, correct, port, or delete. You can delete all of Ambient Pocket's on-device data at any time by uninstalling the app.

Under regulations such as the GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California), and similar laws:

• Right to access: We have no personal data about you. There is nothing to access.
• Right to rectification: Not applicable — we hold no data to correct.
• Right to erasure: Uninstalling the app removes all local data. We have no servers from which to delete anything.
• Right to data portability: Not applicable — we hold no portable data.
• Right to object / opt-out of sale: We do not sell any data because we do not collect any.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or in applicable laws. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, we will mention them in the app's release notes.

This policy only gets shorter or more specific — we will never broaden what data we collect without a clearly explained update and your affirmative consent where required by law.
